The Washburn N4 was developed in collaboration between Nuno Bettencourt, Washburn and the Seattle-based luthier Stephen Davies. It was introduction in mid-late 1990, it became Mr. Bettencourt's primary guitar and sold by Washburn as his signature model. This guitar features a distinctive superstrat form, two humbucking pickups, floating tremolo system and the Stephens Extended Cutaway enhanced bolt-on neck joint.
